Tough Primaries, Stronger Democrats

When I first considered running for 1st VC, two of the first people I called were DD Adams and Jenny Marshall to get their thoughts.

And hate to bring up old news, but both DD and Jenny ran against Virginia Foxx back in 2018. I worked on Jenny’s campaign during the primary as a field organizer and then worked on DD’s campaign as the finance director et al after she won it.

It taught me a lot about politics and our party and what it means to keep moving forward together after a hard-fought primary.

We are not always going to agree on everything in this party-- and dont! But we absolutely cannot afford to let primaries and internal disagreements distract us from the real work of beating Republicans and unseating ungrateful leaders like Virginia Foxx.

Now they both serve as part of North Carolina’s delegation to the DNC and continue doing work for this party in many other ways. I’m proud of them both and grateful for the perspective they gave me. I learned so much from them and their campaigns.

I am so thankful to have both their endorsements. They both know how hard I work, and neither of them are easily impressed. This means alot coming from them.

Also while I have your attention -- go follow Chuck Hubbard on your socials (who also endorsed me 😉) and throw him a few bucks if you can. He’s running against Foxx now and I will be door knocking hard for him this summer.
